Wedding season has already started and loving some of my brides great finds for hair accessories on Etsy I advise don’t leave to last minute as a lot of items come from overseas but some great items.
Here is a lovely soft romantic curls on long hair. Half pinned up which allows hair to stay looking great longer.
I always like to inform you on some great finds so here are some I have found lately.
I know that quite a few of my clients are loving the really bright silvery highlights but find they fade.
I always advise using a sliverising shampoo which helps eliminate the tone of yellow.
To get your best results don’t just shampoo quick and rinse off your not allowing the tone to work. Shampoo leave on 2-3 mins and then rinse apply second shampoo. If you really want results use the conditioner as well and leave on for 5 mins.
You will find you get a much better result and you will keep that yellow tone away.
Here are some good silverising shampoos
Osmo Super Silver shampoo
But if you prefer to pop into a high street shop Superdrug have the Bleach London shampoo which comes in 500 ml for £8.99
All of the ranges have a conditioner as well.
I have to say a lot of the time it’s better value to buy a 1000ml as better value. Just my look has 1lt for £13.90 where on average the 300ml sells on average £6.00 other stockist is amazon and sally’s
Another great silver shampoo is the L’Oreal Professionnel Serie Expert Silver Shampoo. Slightly more expensive 500ml on justmylook is £9.95
But if you prefer to pop into a high street shop Superdrug have the Bleach London shampoo which comes in 500 ml for £8.99
All of the ranges have a conditioner as well.
It’s so great that we are starting to see the end of those dark afternoons. So it’s time to start getting our hair looking fabulous for spring.
So I have decided to try out some new products and see what the results are really like.
So let me explain my own hair. Very fine breaks easily and weak around front hairline.
My first product I will be testing over the next few months is Taya Inner Core
This product is clinically proven to make the hair stronger by 64%. Taya use a cold press process which means no heating of products are used which keeps all the nutrition from the ingredients in the products.
Products used are sourced from the Amazon and in the Taya Range is the black clay which contains titanium. So when we think of titanium we think of strength and durable.
So I have decided to let you know what results I see every month.
I have now used Inner Core Shampoo and conditioner for 3 weeks and yes I have seen a difference. The way I can measure it in this short amount of time is the amount of hair collected in my hairbrush and comb which usually happens by hair breaking while styling hair. I have noticed a reduction I would say about 40%. So far so good and smells amazing. Let’s see what the results will be next month.
So you know I like to let you know of some little bargains well here they are.

Have good fun shopping
When clients ask me what shampoo and conditioner to use first thing I ask is what is their purse strings. Believe it or not a lot of the time you can afford top professional brands if you know where to look. But I always ask if you feel it’s working for you stick with it.
The price range varies dramatically. But today I’m looking at the top end price bracket.
Always when looking at shampoos you usually find more expensive shampoos tend to be more concentrated so need less product and so much more cost effective. Don’t worry if the shampoo gives no lather on the first shampoo and no too much lather on the second. Manufacturers no that you expect lather so add more sodium chlorine (salt) which creates more lather.
One thing I would like to point out if you have a keratin treatment and need a non sodium chloride shampoo don’t go for no sulphate shampoo this does not mean it has no sodium chloride.
One I use is Osomo colour save shampoo at the moment 1000ml shampoo and conditioner £16.74 www.probeautyhair.co.uk
If a client has dry hair either due to lack of moisture or chemical dryness and wants a top end product one of the product ranges I will advice to use is Kerastase Paris.

Product of the week
This week I will let you in on one of my favourite products and it really won’t break the bank.
Samy Fat Hair Amplifying Root Lifter
This is a great product especially if you have fine hair and like a bit of volume.
It has a good directional spray which allows you to concentrate your application at the root area. Remember if you aim is to achieve volume product should be applied mainly to roots and not too much to lengths and ends.
Apply to damp hair. For best results is to blast hair slightly with the hairdryer before applying the product so not to dilute too much. Then blow-dry hair to desired style.
Fancy a bit of extra volume put about 4 large Velcro rollers through the top and blow the hairdryer over them on heat for 30 seconds. Leave about 10 mins.
Usually at this point I go have a cuppa do my make up then they are ready.
What I like about this product it’s not too sticky or heavy but gives great results.
Little extra tip
If your putting your hair up apply the Fat Hair Amplifying Root Lifter on dry hair the. Blast with hairdryer till dry. This will give you hair a slightly dirty texture. Now you will find you hair more pliable to achieve the hair up style you want.
Samy Fat Hair Amplifying Root Lifter is available in Superdrug stores and a real bargain this week as its ½ price at £2.97 so well worth a try.
