When clients ask me what shampoo and conditioner to use first thing I ask is what is their purse strings. Believe it or not a lot of the time you can afford top professional brands if you know where to look. But I always ask if you feel it’s working for you stick with it.
The price range varies dramatically. But today I’m looking at the top end price bracket.
Always when looking at shampoos you usually find more expensive shampoos tend to be more concentrated so need less product and so much more cost effective. Don’t worry if the shampoo gives no lather on the first shampoo and no too much lather on the second. Manufacturers no that you expect lather so add more sodium chlorine (salt) which creates more lather.
One thing I would like to point out if you have a keratin treatment and need a non sodium chloride shampoo don’t go for no sulphate shampoo this does not mean it has no sodium chloride.
One I use is Osomo colour save shampoo at the moment 1000ml shampoo and conditioner £16.74 www.probeautyhair.co.uk
If a client has dry hair either due to lack of moisture or chemical dryness and wants a top end product one of the product ranges I will advice to use is Kerastase Paris.
